After a little bit of technical difficulty last week we’re back with the second installment of our #Styled6Ways series and this week it’s ALL about chunky knits. This Fall trend isn’t really a trend at all, it’s more of a classic style that I don’t foresee going away anytime in the near (or distant) future.
While I’m usually partial to a good oversized sweater, I picked up this coatigan (yes, it’s actually called a coatigan) 2 weeks ago and can’t stop wearing it! We’ve been experiencing an extremely mild late Fall in New York and it’s just too warm to break out any of my actual coats yet, so this heavy sweater has been perfect! I only own one other oversized cardigan and it’s super casual, so this piece is exactly what my Fall/Winter wardrobe was missing!
Alex, Jenn & I are all onboard with the the cozy oversized cardigan and casual cuffed jeans look ((aka the unofficial cool girl Fall uniform)! Love that Tiffany and Megan showed that chunky knits don’t always have to be casual and that they can be dressed up too! And Kacie‘s oversized sweater needs to make it’s way into my closet right now, that’s the kind of item that if I owned it, it would be a struggle not to wear it every single day!!
I wanted to keep my look comfortable, but put together so after picking out this sweater I immediately grabbed for my boyfriend jeans and a beanie. Then instead of keeping it casual I went for leopard heels and a bold lip to complete the look. This might be one of my favorite looks of the year and I honestly can’t believe how slimming it is! Who would’ve thought slouchy boyfriend jeans and an oversized sweater could create such a streamlined look?
How do you style your favorite chunky knits? Make sure to come back next week when we’ll be sharing a special comfy cozy what to wear to Thanksgiving look! And if you missed our first post check out 6 Ways to Wear Fringe in the meantime!
I’m really amazed with your posting skills as well as with the layout on your blog site. Is this a paid style or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the pleasant quality writing, it is rare to see a great site such as this one these days.I recently came to know about http://www.avanaaustralia.com, their Natural Skincare products are very effective.
