Faux Fur Friday is Observed on the 1st Friday of December

Did you know there’s such a thing as “Faux Fur Friday”? Didn’t think so, but don’t worry up until a few years ago I didn’t know there was such a thing either (if you can believe this there are actually 1200 National Days)! Faux Fur Friday is observed every year on the first Friday of December and this year it just so happens to fall on December 1st! Can you think of a better way to kick off the month of December – the month of holiday parties and celebrations and all things Christmas? Me either…so let’s celebrate!

This year I’m celebrating Faux Fur Friday in this GLAM Holiday party outfit…because why not! I guarantee you have at least night this December where you have to get dressed up and this year instead of throwing on your go-to dress why not mix and match with a little bit of fur and a little bit of metallic! Usually I’m all for dresses, but this season midi skirts have stole my heart (no seriously just read here & here…I even named them my Holiday Must Have Item). They are so flattering on everyone and the classic silhouette makes them appropriate for just about every occasion! And as for faux fur…it stole my heart a long time ago and I don’t foresee me even falling out of love with it.

Now here comes the bad news…unfortunately both this skirt & coat aren’t available anymore! I know, I know…I suck. But unlike most other bloggers I actually rewear my clothing and I love being able to put together outfits (especially ones as glam as this) with what’s already in my closet! This French Connection Coat is from 2 years ago (you can see me wearing it here) and this skirt I picked up a month or two ago but it sold out almost immediately, which doesn’t surprise me considering how awesome it is. So since you can’t shop this exact look I rounded up my favorite faux fur coats & pleated skirts for you to shop!
