Twirling in Tulle for Christmas + My Surprising Shopping Strategy

Do you have a fancy dress that you bought for no reason, but ended up being something that you wear constantly? Well when I started blogging and working in the beauty industry I was a firm believer in shopping for specific events, but after getting invited to tons of things last minute I changed my shopping mindset and started buying fancier pieces when I fell in love with them even if I didn’t have anywhere to go.

Now I know that might sound completely ridiculous, especially if you’re not a person that dresses up frequently, but wouldn’t it be awesome to have a dress that you absolutely LOVE hanging in your closet when you have to go to a wedding instead of having to search the week of and possibly coming up empty handed?

I bought this dress last November (I shared a photo of it here), and didn’t actually get a chance to wear it until February for a party! But since then I’ve worn it more times then I can count. I’ve even layered a sweater over it to create a tulle skirt a few times (check it out here). So while I may not have had a reason per se to pick up this fancy tulle dress, I’ve definitely got my moneys worth since and a year later I’m twirling in tulle for Christmas.
