And just like that April is behind us. This month literally FLEW by! I was just texting a friend of mine rambling off all the things I was suppose to get done this month that I never did because I swear I’m never home, and the few hours that I have been home this month have not been spent knocking things off my to-do list! Let’s just say I started April trying to pack away my Winter clothes and take out my Summer clothes and it’s now April 30th and all of my Summer clothes are currently sitting in a giant pile on my bedroom floor and my Winter clothes haven’t been touched. ((This explains why I did so much warm weather shopping this month…but more on that later))
First up…TRAVEL!!! I was fortunate enough to take not 1, but 2 trips this month and honestly had the BEST time ever on both! Megan and I headed to Charleston for the first time on a spontaneous trip during the first week, which you can read ALL about in My First Timer’s Guide! And then I headed to Disney with my aunt, uncle and cousin 2 weeks ago. My cousin requested that I go and of course I couldn’t say no to her! She’s a Disney World pro and let’s just say I needed a week long nap by the time we got back. I didn’t take too many photos in Florida and probably won’t do a full post, but you can shop everything I packed right here AND you can read my Disney travel guide from last year if you’re headed there and looking for all my tips!
Since I wasn’t home too much this month I didn’t get a chance to open and try a lot of the beauty products I received, but the two packages I opened and loved were from Aveda and Algenist! Aveda sent over shampoos in their 3 signature aromas, I’m definitely #TeamShampure (if you haven’t tried the Shampure line you MUST!), but everything Aveda is seriously amazing! The Algenist sent two products from their ALIVE line. I’m actually almost done with the Balancing Mask already, it only takes about 5 minutes to do and leaves my face super hydrated and looking replenished, I HIGHLY recommend it!
If you follow me on Instagram stories then you know I stopped by this ADORABLE new Westchester store, Trendmat, this month! This Fotomat kiosk turned mini accessories store can not be missed! These are just a few of the cute things owner, Sarah, carries and I was SO impressed with how she came up with the idea that I couldn’t not share it with you guys! Check out their Instagram for store hours and new arrivals!
I did a LOT of shopping this month…WHOOPS! Since I went to 2 warm weather places this month and am going to another warm weather locale in May and I haven’t quite sorted through my Summer clothes yet (like I mentioned above) I “needed” to pick up a few new things to bring. I haven’t had a chance to sharing everything with you guys yet, but you can see some of the pieces in my What to Wear in Charleston post & here are a few more snaps of my favorite new additions to my closet!
I’ll work on doing a try on session on Instagram stories for the rest of the items, but in the meantime you can shop everything I kept right here:
Also I haven’t posted on Instagram in over 10 days. I definitely didn’t do it on purpose, but I’ve been really focused on writing great, informative content for the blog that honestly I’d just rather be doing that then spending an hour editing a photo for Instagram that barely anyone who follows me is going to see! I’ve also been getting a huge audience from Pinterest over the past few months so I’ve been spending a lot of time on there creating new graphics and curating my Pinterest profile! So if you don’t follow me over there you definitely should!
