To say our New Orleans trip was a little unconventional is putting it lightly. We planned the ultimate blogger trip, then proceeded to land during a tornado warning, drive through a flood, have our flight home get canceled due to a hurricane and got stuck an extra day…BUT we made the most of it and still had the best time! We may have packed 4 days worth of activities in 36 hours, but more on that later.
Today is ALL about the outfits! I’m not gunna lie, I was a little intimidated packing for New Orleans during the Summer, because let’s be seriously it’s FUCKING HOT (and humid). I needed to fill my (carry-on) suitcase with the lightest, breeziest options that were comfortable enough to walk around in for hours on end, but still looked cute (because it’s me we’re talking about here).
I of course panic shopped 2 days before we left like I always do, but I’m patting myself on the back for how well I packed. Ultimately my decision to stick to an array of comfortable, breathable dresses, a pair of flat sandals, versatile white sneakers, my trusty straw hat and a few statement earrings kept me looking chic in the sun and in the rain! This post probably would’ve been titled “10 Outfits you can actually wear in New Orleans in the Summer” if Hurricane Barry didn’t rudely interrupt our trip, but you guys seem to love these vacation packing posts and I aim to please!
