The Most Instagrammable Places in Westchester County, New York

It’s HERE! The post you’ve been waiting for, the post where I reveal ALL of my secrets! My secret photo spots ALL over Westchester County that is! I’m teaming up with Simone to share the MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE PLACES in Westchester County, New York. We’re on a mission to show everyone that Westchester is pretty freaking cool and why we love it so much.

It took us MONTHS to put together this list and we’ve finally narrowed it down to TEN places. We hope you love it and we can’t wait to see all your new Instagram photos in some of these places!

THE MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE PLACES IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY

1. Village of Irvington

I’m not saving the best for last, I’m kicking off my most instagrammable list with the MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE town/village/city in all of Westchester County – Irvington! This small town is located on the Hudson River about 20 miles north of Manhattan and is home to many historical homes and views of both NYC and the new Tappan Zee Bridge (locals wouldn’t think of calling it the Mario Cuomo Bridge). And even though I’m including TWELVE photos in Irvington, all of these photos were taken within a 1/2 mile radius of each other! If that doesn’t qualify this small town as the MOST INSTRAGRAMMABLE in the county I don’t know what does!

Also I want to shout out one of my FAVORITE photographers, Lisa Schiller, because without her I would have never discovered all these hidden gems in Irvington.

2. Lyndhurst Mansion

Lyndhurst Mansion is located just up the river from Irvington in Tarrytown, NY. Built in 1838, It’s one of America’s finest Gothic Revival mansions. And because it was primarily used as a country home the vast collection of art, antiques and furniture has remained largely intact. And while the inside of the mansion is beautiful, it’s the outside that makes it particularly INSTAGRAMMABLE and why it landed itself on my Most Instagrammable Places in Westchester list!

3. Playland

Don’t think for a second I wasn’t going to include Playland Park in Rye on my list of Most Instagrammable Places in Westchester! First off, amusement parks are MADE for Instagram moments (just check out my Most Instagrammable Spots at Coney Island post), but Playland is also home to a beach and boardwalk that are pretty picturesque!

And it doesn’t hurt that Playland has made appearances in Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” music video and the famous scene from the movie “Big” with Zoltar the Magnificent was also filmed here!

4. Kensico Dam

If you’re looking for nature shots, look no further than Kensico Dam in Valhalla, NY! All year around this Westchester County Park is picture perfect! The Kensico Dam Plaza is home to beautiful stone architecture and the walkway across the top gives you some of the best views in the county! It’s no surprise this is one of the most photographed places for engagement and family photos in the county!

5. Bedford

Now that I’m officially a Northern Westchester resident I had to include one of my favorite Northern Westchester towns in this list! It was a hard decision to choose just one, but when it comes down to it Bedford is just the quintessential Westchester small town. The charm is through the roof and it is NOT to be missed! Every single corner and shop and house is PERECT!
