Why You Should Add Microdermabrasion to Your Beauty Routine
So I’m sure most of you have hear the word “microdermabrasion” before. However, these are still confused as to what it actually is. Microdermabrasion is a “cosmetic procedure for the skin that involves the mechanical abrasion and removal of all or part of the outer layer of the skin as by a high pressure spray of granular crystals and is used to rejuvenate the skin and to treat skin blemishes or imperfections such as scars or wrinkles.” This may seem a little scary. Nonetheless, it’s a completely painless treatment with amazing results. I’m here to tell you why you should add microdermabrasion to your beauty routine if you haven’t already!
Microdermabrasion
I’ve actually been getting microdermabrasion for years at the spa as an add on to my facials after an esthetician told me it would help with the large pores on my nose, so when PMD asked if I’d like to try out their Personal Microderm Device I jumped at the chance. If adding one additional step to my beauty routine one night a week could make a huge difference in my skin I couldn’t not take a chance and try it.
Not going to lie the first time I used it I wasn’t sure if I was doing it correctly
I didn’t feel like anything was happening. However, I waited 6 days and did it again, and after about a month of regular use. Also, I used the ultra sensitive disc once a week. Then, followed by PMD’s Recovery Anti-Aging Collagen Infused Sheet Mask I finally started seeing results.
The pores on my nose looked way smaller and clearer. And since you’re essentially removing the outer layer of skin when you’re using the PMD my moisturizers and serums are being absorbed into my skin much better, which is making my skin super hydrated and brighter! I haven’t noticed a difference in the wrinkles and fine lines on my forehead yet. However, I have faith that in a few weeks they’ll be less visible.
