Fun fact…I’ve lived in New York my entire life, but have never been to the top of the Empire State Building until this past month! We got the opportunity to shoot our first set of Halloween costumes on the observation deck before it opened to the public at sunrise thanks to the Empire State Building giving us the VIP treatment and it was AMAZING! This whole blogging life is crazy, but I’ll never stop being super grateful for experiences like this. I definitely need to make it back up there again soon so I actually enjoy it and not worry about getting “the shot”.
In other news…my 2019 Halloween Costumes should go live at the end of this week, BUT in the meanwhile check out my #HalloweenAfterMidnite hashtag on Instagram and the Halloween tab on the top of my blog! I’m SO excited for you guys to see this year’s content because it’s pretty epic! And if you watched my Insta Story from this morning then you know that I made a Behind the Scenes IGTV video from the whole day and I can’t wait to share it!
September Life
Would you believe I went apple picking this month and didn’t end up going home with any apples! Good thing I’m going again next weekend with Joules, but I completely forgot my apples at my aunt’s house and didn’t even realize until 2 days later. I didn’t forget to take a few cider donuts though…obviously the more important Fall food.
September 2019 Travel
Unless you’ve been living under a rock or took a social media break during the month of September or if reading this post is the first time you’re ever reading something of mine then you know Megan and I went to the Florida Keys this month and had the BEST TIME EVER! You can read the GIANT post I did about our trip – including our exact itinerary, where we stayed and what we ate among other things – right here: The Ultimate Road Trip: How to Spend 5 Days in the Florida Keys
And be on the lookout for more posts coming this month because I plan on breaking down the Upper Keys and Key West for all of you who only plan on visiting one area!
September 2019 Style
I’ve been doing an okay amount of shopping this month ((whoops)), but I’m in desperate need of some new boots and I may or may not have added 5 pairs to my closet over the past few weeks. I haven’t been able to wear them all yet because it’s just not cold enough yet in NY, but below is a snap of one of my new pairs and you can shop the rest right here:
Also Megan was wearing these lace up boots the other day and I’ve been stalking them to go on sale so I can pick them up.

September 2019 Beauty
I’ve slowed down on beauty content over the past few months. Not quite intentionally, but I hope to get a little more back into it for the rest of the year, especially since when I shared this photo on Instagram over the weekend of my skincare “empties” so many of you click over to buy them!
This Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub is literally my favorite exfoliator of ALL time (I even included it in my Post) and if you haven’t tried it I honestly can’t recommend it enough. I’ve probably talked about it 10000 times and I have yet to find another product that compares to this one. And these m-61 Power Glow Peel Treatments are another favorite that I finished this month. This is probably my third box of these and I love using them before I go to sleep and waking up with significantly brighter skin.
Please be aware though that both of these are exfoliating products and should definitely NOT be used at the same time! Another another thing to note is that the M-61 peel is pretty strong, so if you have really sensitive skin you probably want to patch test this product or skip it all together.
I just started using these 5 beauty products and I’ll report back soon to tell you what I think about them:
Most Popular Item of September 2019
My Kauai Travel Guide was my most popular post in September so it’s no surprise to me that my Quick Drying Water Sneakers were my most popular item of the past month. Honestly water shoes are ugly, but if you’re headed on a trip to somewhere tropical with rough terrain or anywhere similar these are a MUST! Plus since these were more of a sneakers than a shoe I was able to do all the light hiking we did on the island in them! Plus when we got back to the hotel every night we just washed them in the bathtub to clean them! Read my full review in my 10 Things You Should Pack in Your Hawaii Suitcase.
PS I have a feeling that this iPhone Wide Angle Lens attachment is definitely going to be one of my most popular items of October because I’m OBSESSED! If you haven’t checked it out yet I HIGHLY recommend it!
PS tomorrow starts my birthday month…and the month my favorite holiday is in!!!!!!!!!!!
