It’s funny because I actually had the story idea for this post before our New Orleans trip, but now that we’re back I’m even more adamant about the fact that apartment style hotels are the BEST for group trips and I may or may not have a discount code for you to try out an apartment style hotel for yourself on your next trip!
If you missed our trip on Instagram (you can still watch it all on my New Orleans Instagram highlight) then let me give you a little recap before we dive into how AMAZING the Roami at The Brandywine is! We touched down in New Orleans during a tornado warning, got stuck in the airport because the streets were flooded and on day 3 of our trip Hurricane Barry hit New Orleans and despite the hurricane not being as bad as they expected we got stuck for an extra day and almost the whole city shut down!
Now that you guys know what happened let me tell you ALL about the new Roami at The Brandywine, NOLA’s first apartment style hotel! First up, location…it is located in the Warehouse District which is right in between the French Quarter and the Garden District!
Next, let’s talk about the ROOM! We stayed in 2 Two-Bedroom/2 Bathroom Apartments that were BEYOND BEAUTIFUL! They had huge kitchens, living rooms, a washer/dryer, giant closets and more room than we knew what to do with. All of us joked the entire time that the rooms were double the size of our New York apartments and we didn’t want to leave!
Since this was a work/play trip for us, we loved that we were able to move to a different part of the apartment if we needed a quite room to work, needed a little alone time or wanted to take a nap. And considering we got stuck inside for 2 straight days (and stayed 1 day longer than we originally were supposed to stay) there was plenty of room to hang, eat, relax and just enjoy each other’s company without being in one another’s way!
Now the size of the rooms were amazing, but my favorite part of the hotel had to be the decor! The decorating and design team at Roami spared no expense when it came to all of the amazing nods to New Orleans in their Baronne St. hotel! New Orleans neighborhood wallpaper, framed jambalaya recipes, alligator prints and more, every bit of this hotel screamed NOLA!
They also have a GORGEOUS rooftop pool (that unfortunately we were only able to see from behind glass because it was raining), a fitness center, work space and a game room (which was amazing considering we were all trapped inside during the storm)!
No matter if you’re traveling with a group of friends like I did or with your family, if you plan on doing any kind of group travel then apartment style is the way to go. And I’m telling you, it’s going to be pretty hard to go back to staying in a regular hotel after trying out an apartment style hotel!
And in case all of that didn’t convince you…every inch of this hotel is pretty damn Instagrammable!
