If you read yesterday’s post, then you know EVERYTHING you need to know about nuuly, the new clothing rental subscription service I signed up for, that allows you to rent clothes from brands like Free People, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and more. And TODAY I’m sharing ALL the items I’ve rented over the past 2 months. I’m breaking it down between October and November (you get 6 items each month) and I’m sharing what I loved, how I wore everything, what I ended up buying and even what I didn’t love or didn’t fit!
I created an IGTV video also with reviews of ALL my nuuly rentals in November, so make sure to check that out also. I’m hoping to make this a monthly series, so if you love it let me know!! You don’t have to have a huge budget or wardrobe to dress great, and I think signing up for a rental service like nuuly is a great way to try new trends and have fun with what’s already in your closet!
I’ve included links to buy each item I rented just in case you want to do that and if you’re interested in signing up for nuuly you can get $10 off your first month HERE!
October 2019 nuuly Rentals:
Free People Midnight Midi – Retail Price: $168 – Wearing a Large (True to Size)
I absolutely LOVED this dress, so much so that I actually just bought it! I didn’t buy it directly from nuuly because I was trying not spend money at the time, but it’s been a month and I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I bought it! It’s literally the perfect black midi dress, boho but not oversized and SO wearable! I think I wore it 3 times over the month that I had it and can’t wait to own it.
LoveSam Harvest Midi Skirt (though nuuly calls it the “Forever Romance Maxi Skirt) – Retail Price: $375 – Wearing a Medium (Runs Big/Has Elastic Waist)
I absolutely loved this skirt online, but when I got it I wasn’t sure I’d end up wearing it. I was definitely wrong, because not only did I wear it like this for Fall with a sweater (also from nuuly), but I brought it to Florida with me and wore it with a tank top! Even though its a lot of material, it wasn’t heavy. I loved renting it, especially because it’s on the pricier side, but probably wouldn’t buy it.
Free People Moonbeam V-Neck Sweater – Retail Price: $128 – Wearing a Large (Runs Big, definitely could’ve sized down but made it work)
I’m a sucker for Free People sweaters and this one did not disappoint. Initially it felt it a little itchy, but actually didn’t feel itchy while I was wearing it if that makes any sense. I loved that it was cropped, but slouchy and worked perfectly with a high waist skirt or with jeans. I probably wore this sweater at least 5 times in the month I had it. I didn’t end up buying it, but I’m definitely keeping my eye out if it goes on sale!
Free People Mostly Meadow Blouse – Retail Price: $98 – Wearing a Large (Runs BIG, Size DOWN)
I liked this top, but it was WAY oversized and really had to try to make it work and not fall down. I liked the pattern online way more than I liked it in person. It was a little too boxy for me personally. I still ended up wearing it twice, but definitely wouldn’t buy it.
Free People My Girl Pullover – Retail Price: $128 – Wearing a Medium (I sized down and it was perfect!)
Free People lounge wear is literally perfect. I love getting dressed up, but if I could wear leggings and an oversized top everyday I probably would. This is one of those perfect oversized tops and I LOVED it. I didn’t purchase it, but it’s another one I’ve been eyeing to see if it goes on sale. SO glad I rented it, I wore it around my apartment and out to run errands a few times and looked WAY more put together than I normally do in a leggings outfit.

November 2019 nuuly Rentals:
Steele Sahara Midi Dress – Retail Price: $289 – Wearing a Large (True to Size)
This wine colored dress was easily my favorite piece I received! The color and fit are PERFECT. I wore it out and to work! I also think it would be perfect for a Holiday wedding with the right accessories! Honestly I can’t recommend it enough. Unfortunately Steele is an Australian brand so it’s not for sale anywhere other than nuuly, but I can’t recommend renting it enough. I don’t think I’m going to purchase it, but I would ABSOLUTELY consider renting it again.
Mare Mare Amal Textured Dress – Retail Price: $180 – Wearing a Large (Runs BIG, I suggest sizing down)
Guys this dress is HOLIDAY PERFECTION! I originally rented it to wear to an event that I was suppose to host, but it got pushed back so I wore it out for Tracy’s birthday instead and SO many people asked me about it. It’s roomy and comfortable and I can’t recommend it enough! I love that I can rent pieces for special occasions instead of buying something that I might only end up wearing once or twice. I will warn you this dress definitely runs big, I wish I got a medium, but I made it work!
Urban Outfitters Jackie Striped Sweater – Retail Price: $149 – Wearing a M/L (True to Size)
Not gunna lie I was super overwhelmed by the size of these sleeves when I first pulled this sweater out of the package, but it’s kind of amazing! Holiday perfect! And the perfect thing to rent because I don’t have to worry about storing it somewhere during the off season. I definitely recommend renting this during the holidays, and it’s named the “Jackie” sweater so I couldn’t pass it up!
ModCloth 3/4 Sleeve Knit Lace Top – Retail Price $58 – Wearing a Large (True to Size)
Just like everyone needs a little black dress, everyone needs a few perfect black tops in their wardrobe and I thought this one was SO versatile so I gave it a chance. I love how it could be dressed up or dressed down and it’s the perfect item to rent if you’re looking for pieces to assimilate into your own wardrobe! I think it would’ve looked great tucked into a skirt too I just haven’t gotten a chance to wear it that way yet!
Carolina K Midnight Maxi Skirt – Retail Price: $198 – Wearing a Large (It was too tight on my hips, if you have more of a straight shape this will work better on you)
I’m SOOO sad this skirt didn’t fit properly. The waist was fine, but it was tight around the hips and very form fitting and just didn’t work on my body type. I will say the quality and color and pattern are BEYOND beautiful and if you aren’t as “hippy” as me I highly recommend it, but if you’re curvy you probably want to skip this one.
19 Cooper Python Print Mini Dress – Retail Price: $130 – Wearing a Large (True to Size, has an elastic waist!)
I actually didn’t think I was going to love this dress as much as I did, but it was SO flattering and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received every time I wore it. It’s another dress that could definitely be dressed up or dressed down and worn SO many different ways. I wish I had another party to go to before the end of the month so I could wear it again!
