A white room is like a blank canvas for an artist to paint on, it allows you to introduce any color into it. It’s classic and it’s easy to change things up whenever you get bored with it.
One of my favorite things to do in a bedroom is a white on white color palette.
I know you’re asking yourself, “white on white” how boring is that? Well there are so many shades of white to choose from why not incorporate a few together in one room. One way is with paint. You have your walls, ceiling, trim and doors to introduce your first layer of different white tones. Then get creative with white furniture with a little bit of texture.
So now you need to think about the over all look, do you continue adding whites to the room or do you stop there and change it up by adding color to the canvas?
Here is a very cozy and inviting breakfast area. Soft whites with the addition of a warm wood flooring and woven shades and cool blue fabric on the chair seats.
I just love this open floor plan. This is the perfect example of a white canvas with the addition of natural tones and textures.
As you can see white isn’t boring, it’s just the opposite, it’s the opportunity to be creative. So all of you that are renting a space that can’t be painted this post should really help you make sure place your home.
