How to Transition Halloween Decorations to Thanksgiving

Sadly, Halloween is over, BUT that doesn’t mean you need to get rid of all your Halloween decor! I’m here to show you how you can transition all of your favorite Halloween decorations to work perfectly for all your Fall festivities AND Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the next Holiday on the calendar and less than 1 month away so it’s as good a time as any to start getting creative and making the most out of your Halloween decorations!

Grandin Road sent me over the greatest Halloween items and they are just TOO good to only be displayed during the month of October so I enlisted my mom to help me show (and you) how to make them perfectly appropriate for all your festive Thanksgiving decorating!

All four of these tablescapes were created with just a few items!

• White ceramic dishes

• Pumpkin & Spiced Cake Orange Candles
• Various vases and containers from around my apartment
• Orange scarf
• Gold Woven Table Runner

This pumpkin set up was how I decorated my dining room table on the days leading up to Halloween! The two spooky pumpkins along with the candles and potpourri sprinkled around the table was exactly the dose of Halloween fun my apartment needed! If you don’t want to decorate your table, you can decorate a mantle, buffet, entrance console table or even your coffee table like this!

Next up, the Holiday party set up! For most of my Holiday parties I like to set up a table with all of the silverware, glasses, napkins and plates and I definitely LOVE for the table to be decorated! Since the table where people are eating at usually has very minimal decorations to make room for all the food it’s important to me to add a little bit of Fall (or Holiday) decor somewhere else!

These next 2 tablescapes are perfect if you love to decorate your table for the month of November, but also want to be able to move things around as needed to make it functional to eat on. By filling glass jars or vases with festive fall potpourri it makes moving it MUCH easier than if it way placed on the table. So if you’re having guests over you can easily move this centerpiece to your coffee table, living room end tables, sofa table or any other spaces you have to accommodate.

In my mind November 1st marks the beginning of the Holiday Season and with that comes fun decorating, multiple gatherings and lots to be thankful for! Why not get the most our of your Halloween and Fall decorations and get creative!
