You guys, I’ve been on a lot of trips and vacations in my lifetime, but Hawaii was hands down the BEST trip I’ve taken in the 31 years I’ve been on this earth. And honestly I’m not quite sure anything is ever going to top it. It’s the perfect mix of relaxing, exploring and learning and it’s just SO BEAUTIFUL! From the second we landed I was literally blown away, but I’ll touch on that more in tomorrow’s Maui post and Wednesday’s Kauai post…today we’re talking about the BEST hotel in Maui, and quite honestly the best hotel I’ve ever been to!
Let me give you a little background on our trip, my friend Tracy was a bridesmaid in a wedding in Maui and when I found out she was making the trip I asked if she would mind if I tagged along and make a vacation out of it. She obviously said yes and we immediately started planning our Hawaii adventure! The wedding was in Maui so we knew we wanted that to be the beginning of the trip and we figured we would stay at the hotel in Wailea that the rest of the wedding guests would be at, but we didn’t book it right away and by the time we did rooms were SUPER expense so we started pricing other hotels in that area of Maui. Let me tell you…the hotel the rest of the guests stayed at was beautiful, but our hotel, The Fairmont Kea Lani, was the BEST HOTEL EVER!
We did a ton of research beforehand, and honestly all the hotels in Wailea were beautiful so we knew we couldn’t really make a bad choice, but the Fairmont Kea Lani was just perfect, that’s the only way to describe it! We stayed 4 days, 3 nights and I wish we could’ve stayed longer because there were still parts of the hotel that I had not seen and restaurants on the property that I wanted to try when we checked out! I even spent about 1 1/2 days by myself at the hotel (because Tracy was in the wedding) and I felt completely safe and comfortable.
Me talking about it isn’t going to prove that the Fairmont Kea Lani is the best hotel in Maui, but these photos will hands down prove it…
Tracy and I all smiles after traveling for close to 20 hours to get to Maui! The staff at check it was beyond amazing as were our beautiful leis! Now onto our room…
Fairmont Kea Lani Room Tour
The Fairmont Kea Lani is an all suite hotel so we knew the room was going to be great, but we were completely blown away when we walked in. Pretty sure it was the size of my apartment at home and the view was beyond amazing! Also they give you Le Labo bath products which smelled SO good!
Full disclosure I did reach out to the Fairmont Kea Lani before we arrived and they definitely spoiled us with a view from our room that we didn’t think could get any better, but we were proven wrong! The first night we got there they actually called us to ask if we’d like to move to a room with a better view, we honestly didn’t think it was possible, but we were wrong! We moved rooms when it was dark out, but we woke up to this sunrise the next morning and we were proven wrong…

Where to eat
The Fairmont Kea Lani has 5 restaurants on the property and sadly we didn’t get to try them all, but I can tell you that Kō was one of the best meals I ate during our stay in Hawaii! The Lavender Honey Macadamia Nut Shrimp was amazing and I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. If you’re looking for something a little more casual the AMA Bar & Grill is the way to go – order the Spicy Poke Nachos and Tsunami Fries (you can get these poolside too!). Also the Makana Market & Cafe had the BEST coffee and pastries, it was so nice being able to grab something small there to enjoy while watching the sunrise on our balcony in the morning.
Pool and beach
The Fairmont Kea Lani has 3 pools (1 being an adults only pool), 2 whirlpools, a waterslide and a beach! The Fairmont gave us a complimentary cabana at the adults only pool on one of our days there and it was a serious treat! When you book a cabana you get unlimited chilled water, tropical juice and soda of your choice. You also get a sampler of Maui fresh fruit, mochi ice cream and Hawaiian trail mix. We obviously also ordered Pina Coladas in pineapples because HAWAII! It was exactly what we needed after a long travel day and I’m so grateful to have been able to experience it! Another thing I thought was so cool about the pool and beach area was that there were stations with complimentary reef safe sunscreen and after sun lotion!

A few other things to note about this hotel was that they offered a complimentary shuttle service to anywhere in Wailea which was amazing when we were meeting friends at the nearby hotels! They also would come pick you up from anywhere in the area! And while we didn’t get a chance to take advance of the spa, hula lessons, canoeing and much more, they were all available for guests to take advantage of!
So there you have it, my pick for the BEST Hotel in Maui! Stay tuned all week for more posts from Hawaii and leave me a comment on here or any of my social media accounts if you have any questions about my trip!

Disclosure: The Fairmont Kea Lani gave us a complimentary room upgrade and cabana when I reached out and told them we were staying there. We booked this hotel months prior to reaching out to them because we loved it so much and got a great deal and as always all opinions are my own! I was
