The weather is finally warming up and this year I’m preparing by not only Spring Cleaning my apartment (and of course purging my closet for the umpteenth time), but also by Spring Cleaning my skin with Bioré’s new Baking Soda products! If you’ve read my beauty posts before you know that I have combination skin along with large pores around my nose and I’m always looking for new products that work for my skin.
When it comes to skincare cleansers I prefer products that cleanse, gently exfoliate and make my skin feel clean when I’m all done and Bioré’s Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and Pore Cleanser both claimed to fit the bill!
I picked up Boiré’s Baking Soda Pore Cleanser and Cleansing Scrub from Walmart last week and was curious to see if they really deep cleaned my pores. After testing them out for a few days I was pleasantly surprised both products lived up to all the hype. The baking soda penetrated my pores dissolving dirt and oil while gently exfoliating my skin. My skin tends to get red when I exfoliate too much, especially in the winter, but the scrub left my skin smooth and clear.
My favorite part about the Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is that you can actually customize the intensity of the exfoliation. The product starts out as a powder and as you add water it activates into a fizzy scrub. The more water you add the softer the scrub is and it naturally dissolves so you will never over-scrub (something I tend to do quite often).
A great makeup look always starts with great skin and if you’re all about achieving that perfect “no makeup” makeup you need to get serious about skincare. Gentle exfoliation, lots of moisturizer and drinking plenty of H2O are the first steps to every great makeup tutorial! Light foundation, a touch of bronzer and blush and a great highlighter will ensure your great skin looks flawless. And even though we’re going for the “no makeup” look I would still fill in your brows, add a swipe of mascara and a natural colored lip stain to finish.
Will you be picking up Bioré’s Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub and Pore Cleanser to rejuvenate your combination skin this Spring (if you have oily skin I highly suggest checking our Bioré’s Charcoal line of products)?
