Cat Eye Halloween Nails
I’m obsessed with cat eye nails and cat eye nail polish in general. So I knew I needed to incorporate it into one of my Halloween manicures this year! I tried cat eye polish for the first time last Halloween, but only used it to create a French tip. Then I used it again around Valentine’s Day for these viral pink nails. However, this time around I knew I wanted to do something a little “crazier”.
You may be asking yourself, “what is cat eye nail polish?” Well essentially its polish that contains iron particles that come to the surface when a magnet is held over it. The iron particles are left sitting at the top of the polish which creates the cat-eye effect.
Depending on how savvy you are with the magnet there are endless amounts of designs you can create with cat eye polish! For this particular set Kelly first painted my nails black. Then painted my entire nail with the purple cat eye polish. She then used the magnet to push the polish into an “s” shape on the center of my nail. After curing that layer she added orange cat eye polish to the corners. To complete the manicure and make it extra “Halloween” she hand painted Halloween nail designs. The designs include spider webs, bats and ghosts with white nail art polish.
Every year I’m not sure how I’m going to top last year’s Halloween nails and I always end up finding a new design to do it! But this year is definitely going to be hard to top!
And I guarantee this won’t be the last time you’ll see me using cat eye polish for a manicure, it may not even be the last cat eye Halloween nails. There’s just so many colors and magnet designs to try the options are endless!
