Black is a neutral color that is often taboo in the decorating world, but its used right it can work with any (& every) combination of colors.
A subtle way to introduce black is by adding something distressed. This distressed black console and the interesting places of famed photos and black & white accessories disguises the large TV.
This modern table paired with 6 different style chairs is the perfect example of how to be completely unexpected, yet still neutral and cohesive.
The use of black here gives this room an elegant vibe that perfectly compliments the chandelier. Lush textures of the chairs, lamp shades, wallpaper and flooring give this otherwise monochromatic room a lot of dimension.
I would never recommend painting a room black, but black wallpaper really softens it. I know using black is not for everyone when they are decorating a room, but think about how often we black and what you pair it with and you’ll instantly understand it’s appeal.
