The chilly, brisk Fall weather has finally arrived and I’m ready to pack away the last bit of summer clothes and fully embrace these 60 degree temperatures! I’m settling into the Autumn by dressing in boots, oversized sweaters and scarfs, but that’s not the only thing I’m dressing during this time of year!

I can’t help but want to have a perfectly dressed table during Fall and Winter! Maybe it’s because two of the major holidays coming up (Thanksgiving & Christmas) revolve around sitting at a table and eating and celebrating with family, but I’m betting it’s because there are just so many options to decorate with. In the Spring and Summer a simple floral arrangement will do, but once Fall hits you better believe I’m breaking out the pumpkins, acorns, pine cones, decorative plates, etc…
What you didn’t remember that decorative tablescapes were an important part of holiday decorating? It’s so easy to pull a tablescape together this time of year because you can use such interesting things that it makes it impossible to mess up! Whether it’s just you and your honey or a few guests you’ll definitely want to dress your table for the occasion!
You can’t talk about gorgeous Fall tablescapes without mentioning the comfort food you’re going to enjoy while sitting with friends and family at your table. In my home comfort food is always associated with soup! It just fits with the cold, dark evening upon us and it’s SO easy to make. Personally I love my slow cooker and the fact that I can fill it up, leave for work and come home with dinner ready to eat…the delicious smell that fills my home doesn’t hurt either!
