Frosty Blue Glittery Snowflake Nails
Another winter, another set of snowflake nails. Except this time instead of a sparkly bright blue nails with hand painted white snowflakes (like I did last year), I went for frosty blue nails, so light they’re almost silver, with blue snowflakes on top.
I actually didn’t intend to do snowflake nails again in 2025, but I can’t turn down an extra sparkly nail idea and this was these were the perfect new years nails.
My nail tech used a really cool method to create these winter blue nails, something different than I’ve ever seen before. She combined magnetic glitter polish and chrome polish and stencils to create these. So while the design doesn’t seem as intricate as some of my other nail designs, you may need to head to a salon for a professional to recreate these instead of trying to DIY this nail art.
Start with a silvery frosty blue gel polish, if you’re using a cat eye polish like I am here make sure to activate it with a magnetic before curing it under a UV lamp. In my opinion cat eye polish is much more sparkly than regular glitter polish so it’s always my go-to when I want sparkly nails.
Then snowflake stencils were carefully placed on each nail and Kelly rubbed a blue chrome powder to create all of the intricate snowflake designs. I love how iridescent and metallic the chrome designs layered over cat eye polish looks.
Winter blue nails are trending right now I hope these frosty blue nails will inspire you next manicure. If you’re looking for something a little less snowy, check out these Glittery Swirl Nails, Blue Geode Nails and Blue Wave Nails for more blue nail inspiration.
