Well I’m here to show you that YOU CAN!!! Believe me! I didn’t always have a steady hand…here are some of my tips on applying the perfect liquid liner!
btw check out the massive bruise I have above my eyebrow. I’m seriously the most clumsy person ever.
NUMBER 1 TIP : SIT DOWN WHEN APPLYING & LEAN YOUR ELBOW ON YOUR DESK/VANITY/WHEREVER YOU DO YOUR MAKEUP! Don’t stand up when putting this on!! Leaning your elbow on something will steady your wrist and make applying any & all eye makeup 100 times easier!
TRY A FELT TIPPED LINER!!!! In the first photos I used mark.’s What a Line Felt Tipped Liner! The pointy felt tip of this liner is MUCH EASIER to control than a liquid liner but achieves the same look!
START FROM THE INNER CORNER AND MAKE SMALL LINES OR DOTS & LATER CONNECT THEM. This technique will allow you to get as close to the lash line as possible. Technically a line is a bunch of dots connected so this method is great for those that are hesitant on applying liner.
USE A LIQUID LINER WITH A FIRM, THIN APPLICATOR!! My absolute favorite (& Lauren Conrad’s too!!) is mark.’s On the Edge or Get in Line (waterproof!) Liquid Liner. Not only is it ONLY $6 a tube but it has the most easy to use applicator that is super think and sturdy which allows for the color to go exact where you intend it to go. Nothing is worse than bristles from your applicator to separate & liner to go everywhere. Believe me this mark. one will NEVER fall apart!
APPLY GEL LINER WITH A FLAT EYELINER BRUSH OVER THE LINER TO CREATE THE PERFECT SEAMLESS LINE! I love using mark.’s Keep It Going Gel Liner in Entourage with mark.’s Flat Eyeliner Brush! MAC Fluidline is another great product (but much more expensive!). Gel Liner goes on so incredibly smooth and essentially all you’re doing is retracing the line you already made so its nearly impossible to mess up!
TA DA…Perfect Liquid Liner!! That ANYONE can apply!

I love the classic winged eyeliner, I've been doing it for years and still find it hard! I always manage to get each wing totally different so my eyes look wonky, so all posts on this help me 😉 xx
