Manicure of the Month: Silver Foil Nails

My almond shaped nails are BACK and I couldn’t be happier! I swear in just one short year my long almond shaped nails have become a bit of a trademark and not having them for the past few months has been strange…when I looked down at my hands they didn’t look like “mine”. I know I’m weird, but it’s true!

Onto my nail design…you have no idea how hard it was NOT to get a Halloween manicure! Everyone thinks I’m Halloween obsessed enough, I didn’t need to fuel the fire by getting spiderweb nail art in September. So instead I figured I would recreate these edgy silver foil nails I saw on Pinterest.

We started with a natural gel color and layered silver glitter and silver foil on the tips then finished with a black stripe near the cuticle. If you’ve never done foil before it’s SO cool how it’s done. After applying a nail foil adhesive and letting it dry slightly you take strips of foil and press them onto your nails. The foil transfers in flakes and then you seal it with a top coat! I’m always more of a gold person, but this silver iridescent foil spoke to me and I’m here for it!

Now I might’ve just gotten these silver foil nails, but I’m already thinking about my next mani and since it’s going to be my birthday/Halloween mani you KNOW it’s going to be beyond epic! I’ve already got a million ideas saved.
