It’s just over 10 days until Christmas…have you started decorating yet?
You all know I put up my tree in mid November because I had a few holiday campaigns that were due. But honestly thank god I did because I haven’t had a free moment since Thanksgiving. And pretty much everyone I talk to feels the same way. Christmas and December in general really snuck up on us this year and SO many people I know haven’t gotten around to decorating their homes yet.
If you’re one of those people then this post is for you! I’ve rounded up a bunch of easy ((& last minute)) Christmas Mantle Decorating ideas that no one will know you threw together in a few minutes. All of these ideas can be created with Christmas decor you probably have lying around and aren’t sure what to do with! And if, like me, you don’t have a mantle to decorate, you can easily decorate another large flat surface of your home with these ideas. I have a mirrored buffet cabinet under my television that I treat as my “mantle” when it comes to decorating, but shelves, the top of a piano, TV console or a dresser would work great also!
And there is plenty more Christmas mantle decorating ideas out there on Pinterest and Instagram. But I tried to narrow it down to a handful of ideas that really inspired me! I love the organic elements, pops of unexpected color and eclectic decor in all of these photos.

Pastel & Bottle Trees:

I know pastels aren’t the first thing you think of when it comes to Christmas, but they’ve become increasingly more popular over the past few years with the rise of vintage Christmas decor. And bottle brush trees are my favorite way to decorate pretty much any surface during the Holiday Season.
Natural Organic Decor:

Whether you’re partial to fresh or faux greenery adding garland, mini trees, branches and pine cones for a natural vibe is a great way to decorate for the holidays. Finish this look with burlap stockings and candles for a warm and inviting look. This decor is great if you have minimal storage space because it can all be deposed of at the end of the season.
Neutral Minimal Decor:

I know red and green isn’t everyone’s decorating vibe, so including a neutral minimal Christmas mantle decorating idea in this post was important! I also really love how the minimal decor and colors really let the beautiful stone fireplace shine here. This is a great example to how just a little bit of garland, candles and a Christmas stocking can really transform your living room for the season.
Small Space Mantle Decor:

Live in a small space? That doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style! I love that space is filled with oversized pieces like a floor to ceiling flocked Christmas tree filled with colorful tree decor, large fur stockings and bronze tree statues. The large decorations make the small room feel cozy.
Bohemian Christmas Mantel Decorating Idea:

I will forever be a fan of bohemian style decor, especially during the Christmas season. I love that all of these Christmas decor was really inspired by the elements that were already in the space. The twinkle lights around the wood, the large star ornaments and glitter garland really stand out against the white color walls and fireplace.
Vintage Farmhouse Christmas Mantle:

Farmhouse style decor has become increasingly popular over the past few years thanks to Chip and Joanna Gaines and it’s not going away anytime soon. This photo is a great example of very rustic DIY Christmas decor that really reflects the space. The greenery is the perfect compliment to the organic knit stockings, candles and vintage gold frames decor.
Anthropologie Inspired:

Anything Anthropologie related is always my favorite Christmas decor. I could literally spend hours in Anthropologie or Terrain during the holidays browsing inspiration. I love how they always mix very different elements and decor seamlessly into one space
Fresh Greenery Decorations:

Last, but not least this clean and neat Christmas mantle inspiration complete with fresh greenery, traditional stockings with initial tassels and a light color Christmas village. It’s chic and minimal and perfect inspiration for anyone who prefers clutter free decorations.

Next year I’m going to focus a lot of my decor posts (which they’ll be a lot more of) on decorating trends and styles that I like and resonate with me, so while I could’ve included many styles of Christmas Mantle decor here I decided to reign it in with photos that really spoke to me!
