Happy Happy New Year! It’s 2017 and I’m back with new content and A NEW WEBSITE!!! I hope everyone loves it as much as I do, and can bear with me while the final few touches are made! Now onto the good stuff…these new Maybelline products are AMAZING! If you’ve followed me for a while then you know that I love their Master Precise Liquid Eye Liner and pretty much use it exclusively (it’s the BEST and costs under $10), but I’m so glad they sent the new Colossal Big Shot Mascara for me to try too!
I’ve been using Maybelline’s The Falsies Mascara for the past year or so and love the results, but after trying this Colossal Big Shot Mascara I’m a convert! It’s no surprise I like lots of lashes, and every since taking off my eyelash extensions, I’ve been on the hunt to find the best mascara that can give me long lashes with lots of volume and this mascara does the trick!
After all the Holiday glitz and sparkle I wanted to create a softer look for my first makeup tutorial of 2017 and these Maybelline products were perfect for the job. I’m not a professional makeup artist, it’s more of a hobby for me and my goal for all my makeup tutorials are to create looks that my readers can recreate on themselves. This soft smudgy eye is easy to recreate for people of all skill levels and the best part is that eye makeup like this still looks great (sometimes even better) when it’s smudged!
Colossal Big Shot Mascara Soft Eye Makeup Tutorial:
- Apply shade 3 (top row, 3rd shade from left) of Maybelline’s The 24K Nudes Eyeshadow Palette from lashes to brow. Apply shade 1 from lashes to crease followed by shade 4 in crease and along lower lashes. Blend with a fluffy eyeshadow brush.
- Line upper lashes with Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner. Apply shade 8 (bottom row, 2nd shade from left) over liquid liner and blend.
- Curl eyelashes and apply 2 coats of Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara to upper and lower lashes.
