These 5 ways feature easy swaps that anyone can follow plus affordable products to shop at Walmart to make the whole process as easy and seamless as possible!
5 Ways to Freshen Up Your Bedroom
1. Change out your sheets for something different
A fun, easy and inexpensive way to freshen up your bedroom it by changing out your sheets. Whether your go-to is simple white and you trade them in for a subtle stripe, or maybe you opt for a bright, airy white instead of your usual navy or gray, changing up your sheets is something everyone can do (and in my opinion your can never have too many sets of sheets).
I opted for this fun floral patterned sheet set to change it up from my usual subtle sheets. I wasn’t sure it if would be too much given my mural is also floral, but I love the way they pair together. This set from Walmart is SO silky soft and lightweight and perfect for summer!
2. Swap our your heavy comfortable for a light weight quilt
Honestly this is something that I ALWAYS forget to do because I love a down comfortable all year around, but I found this crisp white quilt at Walmart and I thought it would be the perfect compliment to the fun floral sheets I bought. It’s oversized and lightweight, but still cushiony and comfortable.
3. Add fresh flowers to your space
I don’t know about you, but fresh flowers instantly lift my mood and refresh any space so it was only fitting that adding fresh flowers landed itself as number 3 on my list of ways to freshen up your bedroom (or any other room in your home). They just put a smile on my face and I love the act of going to the store to buy new ones every 2 weeks!
I fell in LOVE with this Vintage Bottle Vase Set and NEEDED to have it in my life!! I filled it with pretty pale pink carnations to match my new sheets, but can’t wait to change things up with a variety of different flowers over the next few months.
4. Reduce clutter by adding baskets
I am the QUEEN of extra pillows and blankets, but they’re starting to take over my bedroom so I was in desperate need of some new baskets to essentially “hid” all the of the extra things I’m accumulated over the past 2 years.
The seagrass and rope baskets I picked up from Walmart were the perfect size to store my extra throw pillows and I may get the larger option to store bulkier blankets.
5. Buy a summer scented candle
Did you know smell is the most powerful sense? I didn’t actually until I was doing research for this post, but it absolutely makes sense. I think why it’s so important in terms of ways to freshen up your bedroom is because it’s the strongest and quickest memory inducer. So by introducing a relaxing summer scent into your space you’ll instantly refresh the space, without even having to do anything with your decor.
This Pineapple & Vanilla Candle I picked up at Walmart smells like a tropical vacation and instantly boosts my mood when I light it.
I had so much fun changing up my bedroom and I hope you do too! If you follow my tips make sure to post a photo and tag me in it so I can see!
