My July Beauty Essentials

I know this July Beauty Essentials post is a little late and a little light, but it’s definitely worth reading! I haven’t gotten around to trying that many new products because I’ve been so hooked on my favorite products from past months, but there are 6 newbies worth mentioning this month! From BB Cream to Brush Cleanser to Highlighter, there’s a little something for everyone in today’s July Beauty Essentials round up!

e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask $14 – After seeing all the hilarious bubble mask videos on Facebook and Youtube I knew I had to give this one a try. It definitely feels a little strange once the mask starts “bubbling” but once you wash it off it leaves your skin feeling super clean and moisturized. If your new to the skincare mask world and don’t want to spend a ton of money I would definitely recommend trying something from e.l.f., all of their skincare products work amazing, are great for sensitive skin, are cruelty free AND they’re pretty inexpensive.

Japonesque Solid Brush Cleanser $20 – Full Disclosure I’m really really bad at cleaning my makeup brushes in a timely fashion (that’s probably why I love these brush cleaner wipes so much). I know it’s so gross, but I have SO many brushes and it’s a serious project to wash them all. I’ve had this cleanser in the back in my drawer for so long, but never got around to using it until now and let me tell you how angry I am I didn’t find it sooner. You guys this is the easier way ever to clean your brushes! All you do is wet your brush, swirl it around on the solid cleanser and then rinse it off! That’s IT.

Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder $32 – I usually go for a more matte setting powder so when I received this Laura Geller one I kinda pushed it to the back of my makeup drawer. It caught my eye a few weeks ago and I figured I would give it a shot though. Let me tell you I’m SO glad I did! I don’t know what I was worried about, but this setting powder is exactly how the name describes it “filter finish”. I use it to set my under eye concealer, my forehead and down my nose, it leaves me looking flawless with no creasing or moving during the day.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter $26 – I am ALL about the highlighters so it should be no surprise to you that I’m adding yet another to my list of favorites. The color of this Urban Decay one is so perfect (that’s what probably drew me to it in the first place), but the payoff and perfect shine it gives it what made me fall in love with it. I’ve been applying it with a fan brush to my cheekbones and I’m all about it!

e.l.f. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer $2 – You gotta love when a super inexpensive product lives up to it’s name and this shadow lock primer is definitely one of those products! I have pretty oily eyelids so I always like to use primer before putting on eyeshadow and this one is just as amazing as all the expensive brands I’ve tried. I like how it has a little bit of sheer color so it really makes the color you put on pop and it’s just the tiniest bit sticky so the shadow really stays put.

lune+aster BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $44 – This one I tried by accident, I ran out of my regular lightweight foundation I normally wear in the summer and I didn’t want to resort to a heavier one I use during the colder month so I figured I would give this one a go. I actually didn’t like the way it went on at first, it was a little too sticky and thick for me, but when I realized how well it stayed on throughout the day I thought I would give it another try and I haven’t used anything else since. I learned to warm it up in my hands a little bit first so it would apply better then I buff it with a brush to ensure even application.
