I got a really great response from my January Beauty Essentials post last month, so I’m going to make this a monthly thing and I’d like to present my February Beauty Essentials! Between NYFW earlier this month and getting a chance to raid the beauty closet at Alison Brod I added a TON of new products to my routine this month! I’m still using some favorites from last month like my all time favorite face wash, this dry shampoo and my go-to mascara! Here are the 13 products I’ve started using that I can’t get enough of…
Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick $18 – I’ve always been a HUGE fan of liquid lipstick, but this new Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick is hands down my new favorite! I’ve been wearing one of these two nude shades pretty much everyday and I have about 10 more shades (including a few awesome metallics) that I can’t wait to try. These liquid lipsticks go on so smooth and last almost all day on me which is amazing considering the amount of coffee and water I drink throughout the day. Thinking of doing a post so you can see swatches of all the shades I have. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to see!
Glam Glow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment $69 – Lately I’ve become super aware of the fine lines I have on my forehead so I’m trying to treat them now before they get any deeper and reduce the appearance of them. Glam Glow masks are pretty much the best masks on the market and this one is no different. They are pricey, but 100% worth it in my opinion. Also this one turns metallic silver when it’s ready to peel off which is pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Garnier Whole Blends Legendary Olive Replenishing Shampoo & Conditioner $5 each – Earlier this month Garnier treated me to a blowout and they used their Whole Blends Olive line and my hair has literally never felt softer. This Whole Blends line is silicone and paraben free, and especially beneficial if you have dry hair like I do. This is hands down one of the best inexpensive hair care lines I’ve ever used and haven’t used anything else since getting my hair done.
Garnier Fructis Frizz Guard Anti Frizz Dry Spray $3.49 – Another Garnier hair product that I can’t get enough of this month is this Anti Frizz Spray! My hair gets SO staticky in the winter because it’s so dry and there’s nothing more annoying than staticky hair, this Frizz Guard spray works like magic and I’ve had zero issues with static or frizz since I’ve started using it. Plus it’s under $4 and smells AMAZING (no it’s better than amazing, it’s probably the best smelling hair product I’ve ever used!)
Garnier Skin Active Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes $5.99 – I’ve been using micellar water to remove stubborn makeup for a while, but now that micellar water comes in makeup wipes, I’ve been using them everyday to remove my daily makeup! My skin is very sensitive to makeup wipes and I’ve have absolutely no issue with these. I know you’re not suppose to wash your face after using these, but I just can’t not wash my face at the end of the day ever after all my makeup is removed. I just don’t feel clean if I don’t wash and exfoliate my face, but it’s a personal preference.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask $24 – February was apparently all about face masks! I use this overnight water mask once or twice a week and I wake up with super hydrated, plump skin that looks amazing. My skin looks its best the morning after using this water sleeping mask! I apply a generous amount on my face and neck before going to sleep and when I wake up I just rinse with water. I highly suggest picking up this mask next time you’re in Target, the price is great for all the amazing results you’ll get.
Jeanne Arthes L’Eau De Rose – This perfume came in my February Glossybox and I can’t stop wearing it! Unfortunately I can’t find out where you can actually buy it! Once I do I’ll make sure to update you here!
byKarity Nail Art Polishes $9.95 – If you like doing your nails as much as I do then you absolutely need these nail art polishes! This particular set comes with 12 shades and they work perfectly. I’ve tried plenty of nail art polish that isn’t opaque enough, but I don’t have any complaints about these, plus the variety of shades it comes with is perfect. Check out some of the manicures I’ve created with these shades here & here.
Aveda Tulasara Wedding Masque & Wedding Eye Masque $65/$55 – And another mask! I swear I didn’t even realize I had been using so many different masks this month until I put together this post! This face and eye mask duo really does make my skin look brighter and more radiant in the morning. This is a pretty thick mask so if you don’t love thicker formulas this isn’t for you. It’s also pretty pricey so if I could recommend just one I would suggest the eye masque, it’s my favorite out of the two and I find myself using it pretty much every night!
Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat $30 – If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’ve been raving about this pink gel coat polish! I started using it after taking off my gels when my nails are usually at their weakest and I’ve noticed a huge improvement. My nails are stronger and not peeling at all, and I can definitely thank this polish for it!
Wander Flash Focus Hydrating Foundation Stick $40 – I haven’t been using this Wander Foundation Stick as my all over face foundation, but I have been using it to contour (because the color is a little too light for me!)! I apply it in between my brows on my forehead, right above my lip and below the hollows on my cheeks and blend with a beauty blender! I love the ease of using foundation sticks and if you’re in the market for one I highly recommend this one!
Schwarzkopf Moisture Kick Beauty Balm $10.47 – Another product that came in my Glossybox that I ended up loving! I only have the sample size of this, but I would definitely consider buying the full sized version once it’s done. I apply it to the bottom half of my damp hair and let it air dry and it’s really helped with my dry ends and made my hair really soft.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Illuminating Palette $6 – If you’re wondering how something can be one of my favorite products, but it doesn’t look like it’s been used, it’s because this is actually my second illuminating palette, I just finished my first! I love that each highlight shade offers a slight variation in intensity so I have options for how much shine I want. During the day I use the top right pinkish shade for a subtly highlight, but at night I usually opt for the top left for more shine! The two bottom shades are going to be great for summer and vacation when I have a little bit of a tan! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when it comes to e.l.f. products the price and quality are unbeatable!
You’ve read my February Beauty Essentials, now I’d love to hear what yours are! Leave me a comment and let me know what I should try next month.
