If I had to pick one trendy nail art design for you to try this Summer it would be aura nails, particularly neon aura nails. I’ve seen them everywhere and their popularity is growing by the day, so if you’re into trendy nail designs then this one is for you!
Neon Aura Nails
Once June hits I feel like all I want are neon nails all Summer long and these neon aura nails are absolutely going to be hard to beat. They may be my favorite neon nails of all time and that’s saying a LOT considering in years past I’ve had some pretty great bright, cute summer nails in the past! Some of my favorites are these Jelly Neon Star Nails, Colorful Tie Dye Nails & Rainbow Tie Dye Nails!
I get my nails done at a salon, as you probably know from my past nail posts, but you can easily do aura nails at home yourself. All you need is 2 polish colors, I suggest one lighter and one darker and a sponge nail brush, a small beauty blender is a great option if you don’t want to invest in a nail art sponge.
First paint your entire nail the lighter color, for me that was the lime green you see here, then you take the sponge and blot the darker color in the center of each nail. While this is an easy nail art design to achieve, it does take a little bit of time and patience. It took about 4 coats of the blotted center blue to achieve this ombre aura look that you see here. Wait for each coat to dry if you’re using regular nail polish, or cure your gel polish if you’re using that. Otherwise, the sponge absorbs the wet color again.
