What I Wore to a Black Tie Optional Wedding
When most people see the words “Black Tie” or “Black Tie Optional” on a Wedding invitation they freak out, I on the other hand get super excited because I relish in the opportunity to get dressed up! Black Tie and Black Tie Optional doesn’t have to mean a long black dress, there are plenty of festive and appropriate dresses (even jumpsuits) that will make sure you don’t get lost in a sea of long black dresses!
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with a long black dress. I’ve worn my fair share of them and I always have a back up “dressy” dress hanging in my closet. However, if you have time to shop I’m all for selecting something a little more special. Whether it be a great color or material or print or a great lace up back and silhouette like this dress, a special dress like this instantly puts a smile on my face!
Have I completely confused you yet? Don’t worry I’ve rounded up 15 of my favorite Black Tie and Black Tie Optional Wedding dresses. These will be perfect for any formal event you have to attend this Fall and Winter!
In other news I know it’s been quite over here on the blog, but sometimes life gets in the way and you just need a break.
And there is a LOT happening in my life right now. I just got back from Hawaii (literally the most amazing trip ever). I am finishing my renovation and currently staying at my mom’s house since I had to move out of my old apartment at the end of August! Things are finally getting a little bit more normal. However, honestly, I don’t think things with the blog are going to be completely normal. I have to get settled into my new apartment! But I’m going to try my hardest to get at least 2 posts up a week, because I have a LOT to share!
