This month is a little light as far as beauty essentials, not because I’m using less products, but more because I’m using a lot of old favorites that I talked about in previous months’ posts. My June Beauty Essentials are actually all brand new products I’ve received in the mail over the past month and a half and completely fell in love with! I’m constantly receiving PR beauty packages and trying new things so when I stumble on a product that I love enough to buy again and again it’s rare and definitely worth sharing!
L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paints $9.99 – These might just be my new favorite lip colors ever. L’Oreal sent me over a huge package of goodies earlier in the month as a thank you for helping them on a project and in it were all of these lip paints. They are so smooth and opaque and saturated, and are overall just amazing. Right now I’m partial to the blue, I know it’s completely impractical, but it’s SUCH a good shade (see me wearing it here). They come in a ton of shades and finishes, but these are the five I’ve tested out (clockwise from top left: Lilac Lust, Studded, Spicy Blush, Smoldering Eclipse & Navy Spy). (Buy 2, get 1 free at Ulta right now!)
Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub $22.49 – I exfoliate my face almost every night whether it, be with my Clarisonic or a scrub, because I tend to build up dead skin around my nose very easily and if I don’t my makeup doesn’t lay right. Since I got this new Derma E scrub in the mail I’ve barely used my Clarisonic because it works so well. If you’re not familiar with microdermabrasion in general it’s great for people who have large pores, fine lines and wrinkles because it very gently buffs away dead skin to leave your skin looking more radiant all while absorbing excess oil. Using this a few times a week has drastically reduced the look of my pores on my nose and always leaves my skin feeling clean and bright. Plus it smells amazing which is a huge plus for me! PS: ALL of Derma E’s products are cruelty free, gluten free, soy free and so much more!
The Vintage Cosmetic Company False Lashes $7.70 each – The Vintage Cosmetic Company reached out to me a few weeks ago asking if I’d like to try any products from their site and I immediately jumped at the chance to test out their lashes. I love that they aren’t as dramatic as other brands and look very natural, yet glam when they’re on. They’re very pliable too which is something I find some lashes are not and the packaging is so cute! Highly recommend all of their styles!
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil $26 – I’ve been preaching my love for lip oil for months now and this Clarins one is one of the best. It applies so velvety smooth and it’s super hydrating and not sticky at all, plus the applicator probably the best applicator I’ve ever seen on a lip product! If this short review hasn’t convinced you read my whole post on these babies here!
Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara $5.97 – I’m a little bit of a mascara snob and while I may test a lot of them out very rarely do I find one that I really like. This Revlon one has a great formula and an even better brush that really coats all of my lashes while separating them and leaving them super fluffy. You can see me wearing it here!
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream $26 – This Olay Moisturizer lives up to everything it claims to do and more, plus it beat out super high end brands when it comes to hydration, wrinkle reduction and more! I was very skeptical when I first tried it, but I swear this stuff works (I ever saw results after a few days!) It says on the package that you can use this day and night, but it’s a little too thick for me during the day (especially in the summer) so right now I’m only using it at night. You’ve got nothing to lose with this one, if I haven’t convinced you read my whole review right here! (Buy 1, get 1 50% off right now at Ulta)
Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $32 – I’m the sunscreen queen in the summer and this tarte lotion is my new go-to. It’s a mineral sunscreen (no chemicals) and it’s lightweight and literally melts into my skin. It’s also loaded with antioxidants so while it’s protecting you from the suns harmful rays it’s also brightening and moisturizing your skin. I’ve been wearing this at the pool and under my makeup in the morning on a daily basis and have no complaints! (It’s available in travel size for only $12)
