Since it’s not visible from AIA, Tracking Station Beach Park is one of the best-kept secrets in Vero Beach, and the locals prefer it that way.
This spot is smaller, quieter, and far less trafficked than the main beach parks.
There’s a small parking lot, lifeguard and public restroom. There’s also a few picnic tables.
Tracking Station Beach is an ideal place for shelling especially after storms & during low tide!
This is my personal favorite spot on this list!

South Beach Park

South Beach Park is the most accessible beach in Vero Beach, and that’s both its strength and its trade-off.
Located over the 17th St. Bridge, this spot has the most parking, great facilities, and the highest number of beachgoers on any given day. You’ll find restroom facilities, picnic pavilions, and lifeguards during peak season. The sand is clean and well-maintained, the water swimmable and family-friendly.
South Beach also has ADA accessibility and beach wheelchairs can easily make their way onto the beach.
The crowd here skews toward families with young kids, retirees enjoying a slow morning, and anyone who prioritizes convenience over seclusion.
Don’t come here expecting hidden paradise, but if you want reliable beach access with all the basics covered, South Beach delivers every time.

Round Island Beach Park

Round Island Beach Park is the southernmost beach park in Vero Beach, located near the Indian River County line, and it has a distinctly different feel because of it.
What makes Round Island Beach Park stand out from the other Vero Beach beaches on this list is that it has both an ocean side and a river side.
The ocean side offers wide-open beach views, an undisturbed coastline, consistent waves, and a quieter, less developed atmosphere.
The park has covered pavilions, restrooms, and outdoor showers, but the real appeal is the sense of space.
The Indian River Lagoon side offers walking trails, forested areas with an observation tower and a fishing pier. It also has a boat ramp and a canoe and kayak launch.

Jaycee Beach Park

Often referred to as “North Beach” or “Conn Beach”, Jaycee Beach Park is located at the north end of Ocean Drive and what makes this beach unique is that it the Vero Beach Boardwalk runs along it and it also is the only one of Vero’s beaches to have a food vendor, Seaside Grill, in the park.
The beach itself is not very wide, but the other amenities make up for it. Jaycee Park is a popular spot that has ample parking, picnic areas with shelters, restrooms, grills, water fountains, a playground, lifeguards and more. It’s also home to sand volleyball courts.
I’m partial to this beach because of the half mile Vero Beach Boardwalk that runs along it. It’s one of the best places to talk a walk in Vero Beach, especially if you want the sights, sounds and breeze of the ocean without the sand in your shoes. On cooler days and in the mornings and evenings of the hotter ones you’ll find a lot of locals getting their steps in on the boardwalk and then taking a break to enjoy the ocean on one of the many benches along it.

Wabasso Beach Park

This is where locals go when they want the classic Vero Beach experience without the fuss.
Wabasso Beach Park sits just north of the Disney Vero Beach Resort, but it feels like a different world. The beach access is easy, with a parking lot that bumps up right to the sand. It’s also significantly less crowded than most of the beaches closer to town.
Like all of the other Indian River County Parks beaches it has picnic tables, pavilions, grills, outdoor showers and restrooms.
Check out Beach Bites when you visit Wabasso Beach for sandwiches, smoothies, beer, wine and snacks! It’s located right at the parking lot entrance for the beach.
This beach has some of the best surfing and the perfect place to catch a quiet sunrise.
One cool thing about Wabasso Beach is that it has live beach cams set up so you can check real-time ocean and beach conditions without leaving home.

Humiston Beach Park

Humiston Beach Park is the heartbeat of Vero’s beach scene, and it feels like it.
Located in the heart of Vero Beach, right near Ocean Drive’s restaurants and shops. The park offers a playground, picnic shelters and shelters, restrooms, and lifeguards, making it the natural gathering spot for both locals and visitors. The sand is soft and white, the water clear and swimmable, and the energy is noticeably more social than other Vero beaches.
You’ll see groups playing beach games, families setting up for the day, and people grabbing lunch from nearby spots before heading back to their towels. It’s not a party beach by any stretch, but it has more life and movement than the quieter northern stretches.
On Saturdays from 8am-noon, the Vero Beach Farmers Market is held right across the street from Humiston Beach Park. There are multiple food vendors and a great place to stop before spending the day at the beach.
Humiston Beach Park also has ADA beach access.

This beach consistently delivers some of the best wave action in Vero Beach, especially during swell periods. The beach itself is wide and beautiful, with soft sand and clear water, but the real draw is the break. You’ll see locals paddling out year-round, and the vibe skews more active and outdoor-focused than the family-heavy parks farther south.
This is an unguarded beach so swim with caution if you go here.
Treasure Shores has a paved parking area, shaded picnic tables and restrooms.

Turtle Trail Beach Access

Turtle Trail Beach Access is tiny, tucked away, and easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. This is the beach the local’s don’t want you to know about!
This is one of several smaller beach access points scattered along A1A, and it’s ideal for anyone who wants a quick, uncomplicated beach visit. There’s limited parking, a short boardwalk, and then you’re on the sand.
No facilities, no amenities, no crowds. Just a quiet stretch of beach that feels personal and unhurried.
It’s great for sunset walks! The low foot traffic and peaceful setting make it ideal for evening strolls.
Turtle Trail isn’t a destination beach, but it’s a perfect addition to a day spent exploring Vero’s quieter side.

Disney’s Vero Beach (Public Access)

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort sits on some of the most beautiful coastline in the area, and yes, there’s public access.
While the resort itself is private, the beach is not. Public parking is available just south of the resort, and a short walk brings you to the same pristine sand and clear water that resort guests enjoy. The beach here is exceptionally well-maintained, with wide sandy stretches, calm waves, and excellent conditions for swimming and shelling.
You won’t have access to resort amenities, but the natural beauty and beach quality rival any private club setup. It’s also one of the best spots for families, with shallow, gentle water and plenty of space to spread out.
If you want a top-tier beach experience without paying resort prices, the public access near Disney’s Vero Beach is one of the smartest moves you can make.

This one is hidden from AIA with lots of trees and vegetation, so just make sure to look for the signs as you’re driving.
