So You Wanna Be Freddy Krueger for Halloween

Freddy Krueger Halloween Costume Makeup Tutorial Nightmare On Elm Street

You guys…this is my SEVENTH Halloween costume of the year and I’m so obsessed with it. If you’re gunna do Halloween, the best way to do it is with a scary costume and you can’t go wrong with a little Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy Krueger for Halloween! If you follow me on Instagram then you already saw a sneak peek of this over the weekend, but I knew if I was doing makeup this extensive, that I needed to share it with you!

I knew there was no way I was going to wear a mask when I decided to dress up as Freddy Krueger for Halloween, so I needed to find a tutorial to follow that looked amazing, but wasn’t too difficult. I also knew I didn’t want to use any latex or anything because I’ve never worked with it before and I wasn’t sure a Halloween costume that I was actually going out in was the time to experiment. Overall I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out. It doesn’t look as amazing as the tutorial I followed, but being that this is the first time I really did something like this it was great! And everyone loved it! Here’s the link to the Youtube tutorial I followed!

Here’s the link again for the Youtube video that I followed to create this look. Mine doesn’t look as good as hers, but I’m pretty happy with how it came out! I will say that you definitely need to give yourself a LOT of time if you do plan on recreating it. I would allot yourself two hours because the shading takes a good amount of time, and even when I was completely done I went back in and drew a few more wrinkles and darkened a couple of areas.

All the makeup I used to create this Freddy Krueger look were things I already had, so you more than likely won’t have to pick up anything new to do it!
