The Spring season is finally here and so is my Spring Capsule Wardrobe! The warmer Spring weather has finally started to make an appearance in New York and hopefully where you live too so I figured this was the perfect time to release this year’s H&M spring capsule wardrobe!

This H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe is a GOOD ONE! It contains 25 versatile pieces, many of which I’m sure you already own variations of because they are classic pieces or because I included similar items in a past capsule collection. I also included 48 spring outfit ideas to create with these 25 wardrobe staples.
I’m ready to pack away my winter coats, heavy sweaters, boots and anything else winter wardrobe related and trade them for spring style favorites like white pants, short sleeves and light layers!
This perfect Spring capsule wardrobe with different outfits should help elevate your personal style and make getting dressed easy for any occasion. Plus it will guide you through what spring trends you should try out for yourself, what key pieces your wardrobe is potentially missing and how to maintain that effortless style that has everyone asking you “where did you get that”.
Affordable H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe Items:
1. Button-Front Viscose-Blend Dress ($49.99)
This feminine, airy, floral dress is Spring perfection and exactly what your closet is missing. Breezy dresses just scream warmer weather to me and I love how they’re appropriate for pretty much any occasion with the right accessories. I love the oversized, loose silhouette and it’s easily one of my favorite items in this post.
2. Cap-Sleeve Dress ($24.99)
How beautiful is the mustard yellow color of this midi dress? It’s so incredible chic and definitely one of the more trend-forward pieces in this spring capsule wardrobe, but it caught my eye and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It is the perfect date night dress, but also can be worn to the office and much more. Plus not only will it be great for Spring, but it will seamlessly transition to your Fall capsule wardrobe with the right accessories. If you don’t love the color, it’s also available in red, dark brown and black polka dots.
3. Flared-Skirt Denim Dress ($39.99)
This white denim dress is a bit of a wild card item, but I think it’s just such a fun piece I needed to include it. I love the short puff sleeves, fitted bodice and open back. And the best part it will transition perfectly for the summer months and would be a great addition to your spring break wardrobe if you’re going away.
4. Short Trench Coat ($59.99)
Instead of including a classic trench coat in this year’s Spring capsule wardrobe, I opted for a cropped version instead, because I just got one and I can’t stop wearing it! It’s a light jacket that will never go out of style and it’s especially great if you have any spring travel plans. But if you’re looking for something a little more traditional H&M has so many great classic long trench coats at great price points.
5. Wrap-Front Jacket ($59.99)
This wrap blazer is one of my favorite pieces in this collection. It’s a nice change from a classic blazer and light jackets are a must for this time of year, you’ll get a lot of wears out of this!
6. Crepe A-Line Skirt ($39.99)
I’m a sucker for boho maxi skirt and this burgundy one checks all the boxes. It can be dressed down with a basic tee and denim jacket or dressed up with a silky top and blazer. The outfit combinations are endless with this spring essential.
7. Midi Skirt ($39.99)
At this point a midi slip skirt is one of the most essential pieces you should have in your wardrobe. I own quite a few at the this point and there are truly so many different looks you can create with it. I thought this burnt orange color was a fun, but if it’s not your style this exact skirt comes in many neutral colors.
8. Wide-Leg Dress Pants ($29.99)
Relaxed fit, twill trousers have been on my radar for a while and I think they would be a great alternative to your basic tailored “dress pants” for Spring & Summer. These can be worn with a heel just as easily as they can be paired with a white tee and sandals! I opted for a dark rust brown over black because honestly I’m just sick of all things black by March.
9. Wide High Waist Ankle Jeans ($39.99)
It wouldn’t be a capsule wardrobe without a pair of jeans and H&M makes great ones! Wide-leg jeans aren’t going anywhere so if you haven’t added a pair to your closet now is the time! But if you really don’t like the look of wide leg jeans, don’t worry straight jeans or skinny jeans are also a great option!
10. Linen-Blend Pants ($29.99)
I always love adding a looser fit pants in a jersey or linen material to my capsule wardrobe because while I love dressing up, I like my casual outfits to also look put together and throwing on a nice pant like this makes dressing casual so easy! These and a white t-shirt with a pair of sneakers or sandals is just an easy, but chic spring fashion look. And if the lighter color blue isn’t your style don’t worry these are available in a few different colors.
11. Tailored Vest ($39.99)
A neutral tank is a must in my warm weather wardrobe and this vest is basically the upgraded version of a neutral tank and a great addition to your spring wardrobe.
12. Lace Camisole Top ($29.99)
This lace camisole is gorgeous and I need it asap!
13. Printed T-Shirt ($19.99)
I was raving about H&M basics a few weeks ago over on Instagram and honestly I can’t count how many I own. The t-shirts are so soft, comfortable and affordable! This butter print is so cute (& nostalgic of my trip to Paris for me).
14. Peplum Blouse ($29.99)
I love adding a “fancy” blouse to all of my capsule wardrobes because they can be worn to work, out to dinner, on a date, pretty much anywhere. Whenever I have “nothing to wear” I can easily through this top on with either a skirt, trousers or jeans depending on the occasion.
15. Rib-Knit Boat-Neck Sweater ($44.99)
While I would love to say sweater season is over, it’s definitely not yet. This ribbed off the shoulder sweater is a great option for cooler days and chilly nights!
16. Block-Heeled Platform Sandals ($49.99)
Platform suede sandals are a Spring capsule wardrobe staple and can be worn so many different ways!
17. Sneakers ($44.99)
Instead of a classic white sneaker I went with a beige, white, cognac option that I think is so chic!
18. Braided-Look Ballet Flats ($29.99)
Perforated ballet flats have been very popular for a few years now. They look so great with everything from dresses to jeans to more casual pants.
19. Mary Jane Flats ($29.99)
Because leopard is a neutral and everyone needs a little animal print in their closet.
20. Kitten-Heeled Leather Slingbacks ($74.99)
These sling back, pointy pumps are perfect for dressy occasions and the office!
21. Charm Necklace ($9.99)
This wine colored charm necklace is one that you’ll never take off all season long!
22. Flower-Shaped Earrings ($6.99)
Florals for spring isn’t groundbreaking, but these flower earrings are a must.
23. Suede Crossbody Bag ($99.00)
This light beige bag is a great way to take a simple look and really elevate it.
24. Scarf-Detail Crossbody Bag ($39.99)
I absolutely love the idea of wrapping a silk scarf around a bag strap. Its an easy way to add a pop of color to a basic look.
25. Pleated Shoulder Bag ($44.99)
While I love a small purse, a large one is a necessity in any capsule wardrobe and this brown one is a great size to fit everything you need! The pleated detail really adds something special to it also!
