The Spring season is finally here and so is my Spring Capsule Wardrobe! The warmer Spring weather has finally started to make an appearance in New York and hopefully where you live too so I figured this was the perfect time to release this year’s spring capsule wardrobe!

This H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe is a GOOD ONE! It contains 25 versatile pieces, many of which I’m sure you already own variations of because they are classic pieces or because included similar items in a past capsule collection. And I also included 48 spring outfit ideas to create with these 25 wardrobe staples.
I’m ready to pack away my winter coats, heavy sweaters, boots and anything else cold weather related and trade them for spring style favorites like white jeans, short sleeves and light layers!
This perfect Spring capsule wardrobe with different outfits should help elevate your personal style and make getting dressed easy for any occasion. Plus it will guide you through what spring trends you should try out for yourself, what key pieces your wardrobe is potentially missing and how to maintain that effortless style that has everyone asking you “where did you get that”.
Affordable H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe Items:
1. Oversized Floral Dress ($44.99)
This feminine, airy dress is Spring perfection and exactly what your closet is missing. Breezy dresses just scream warmer weather to me and I love how they’re appropriate for pretty much any occasion with the right accessories. I love the oversized, loose silhouette and it’s easily one of my favorite items in this post. I love the bold floral print the pops of color that the vibrant print gives off!
2. Long Cotton Dress ($34.99)
How beautiful is the paisley print of this long cotton dress? But the print isn’t the only thing that caught my eye, the gorgeous pink and brown color combination is what really made it one of my favorite pieces in this Spring capsule wardrobe. I never thought I’d love this color palette so much, but it’s so pretty and feminine, but also bold and statement making. Plus it will be great for Spring and seamlessly transition for Fall with the right accessories.
3. Midi Skirt ($29.99)
At this point a midi slip skirt is one of the most essential pieces you should have in your wardrobe. I own quite a few at the this point and there are truly so many different looks you can create with it. I thought this subtle leopard print was a fun, but if it’s not your style this exact skirt comes in many neutral colors like beige, navy and dark green and some great spring colors like pale yellow and powder pink.
4. Double Breasted Trench Coat ($59.99)
H&M has so many great classic trench coats at great price points and in my opinion it’s one of the most important seasonal pieces to have in your own closet. It’s a light jacket that will never go out of style and especially great if you have any spring travel plans.
5. Oversized Denim Jacket ($44.99)
I’m a ride-or-die denim jacket girl and this oversized light wash one is just perfect! I love paired mine with dresses, skirts, pants, even match jeans for a trendy denim on denim look! If jean jackets aren’t your thing a lady jacket or leather jacket are great alternatives for your spring wardrobe.
6. Button Up Cotton Shirt ($29.99)
This button-down shirt in zebra print is a fun alternative to your classic white button-down. I love the slightly oversized fit, that it can be worn buttoned up or open over a tank. It will transition seamlessly for summer and be a great swimsuit cover up!
7. Wide Leg Pants ($29.99)
Relaxed fit, lightweight trousers have been on my radar for a while and I think they would be a great alternative to your basic tailored “dress pants” for Spring & Summer. These can be worn with a heel just as easily as they can be paired with a crop top and sandals! I opted for white over a darker color because honestly I’m just sick of dark colors at this point of the year and white is just as easy to style as black.
8. Printed Wide Cut Pants ($24.99)
These airy pants were one of the first items I pinned for this Spring Capsule Wardrobe because I loved the cream and black pattern on them! They can be worn as loungewear, but also because of the woven fabric they can be dressed up too.
9. Wide High Jeans ($44.99)
It wouldn’t be a capsule wardrobe without a pair of jeans and H&M makes great ones! Wide leg jeans aren’t going anywhere so if you haven’t added a pair to your closet now is the time! But if you really don’t like the look of wide leg jeans, don’t worry straight leg or skinny jeans are also a great option!
10. Wide Cut Pull On Pants ($24.99)
I always love adding a looser fit pants in a jersey material or sweatpants to my capsule wardrobe because while I love dressing up, I like my casual outfits to also look put together and throwing on a nice pant like this makes dressing casual so easy! These and a white t-shirt with a pair of sneakers or sandals is just an easy, but chic spring fashion look.
11. Knit Tank Top ($24.99)
A neutral tank is a must in my warm weather wardrobe! H&M makes great basics and while you might not consider this dark brown tank to be particularly neutral it perfectly fits the color palette of this capsule and it’s extremely versatile.
12. Microfiber Top ($17.99)
A new white shirt is a must in my Spring wardrobe and this microfiber long sleeve is soft and cozy and will keep you warm on those last few cooler days of the season.
13. Printed T-Shirt ($17.99)
I was raving about H&M basics a few weeks ago over on Instagram and honestly I can’t count how many I own. The t-shirts are so soft, comfortable and affordable! This white with sardines print is so cute (& nostalgic of my trip to Sicily for me).
14. Ruffle Trimmed Blouse ($34.99)
I love adding a “fancy” blouse to all of my capsule wardrobes because they can be worn to work, out to dinner, on a date, pretty much anywhere. Whenever I have “nothing to wear” I can easily through this top on with either a skirt, trousers or jeans depending on the occasion.
15. Knit Cardigan ($24.99)
While I would love to say sweater season is over, it’s definitely not yet. This soft, lightweight cardigan is a great option while its still on the cooler side and for upcoming chilly nights! I’m partial to this pretty dusty green color, but it comes in other neutrals and even 2 different stripes.
16. Heeled Slingbacks ($44.99)
I am OBSESSED these knotted sling back heels! They are so different than anything I’ve see out there and a truly special piece.
17. Sneakers ($34.99)
Classic white sneakers – a staple in my closet and a staple in my capsule wardrobes! No explanation needed!
18. Perforated Mary Janes ($34.99)
Perforated ballet flats and mary jane flats have been very popular for a few years now. They look so great with everything from dresses to jeans to more casual pants.
19. Braided Sandals ($34.99)
How chic are these slides? I honestly couldn’t believe they were H&M. They look WAY more expensive than they are and are a great addition to your closet.
20. Pointed Slingbacks ($29.99)
These sling back, pointy pumps are perfect for dressy occasions and the office!
21. Hammered Necklace ($17.99)
This hammered necklace is one that you’ll never take off all season long!
22. Gold & Yellow Earring Set ($8.99)
I love the antique, vintage vibe of these and the orange marble effect on the larger earring.
23. Printed Silk Scarf ($34.99)
Adding a silk scarf to a look is such an easy and inexpensive way to take a simple look and really elevate it.
24. Small Crossbody Bag ($29.99)
The shape and hardware on this crossbody bag is really what drew me to it, plus it goes with basically every single outfit I included in this post!
25. Braided Shoulder Bag ($49.99)
While I love a small purse, a large one is a necessity in any capsule wardrobe and this brown one is a great size to fit everything you need! The braided detail really adds something special to it also!
