Affordable H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe

Back with my FOURTH Capsule Wardrobe…this time it’s a Spring Capsule Wardrobe from H&M of course! I usually wait until April to put together this post, but the weather in NY has been pretty mild and so many of you are already requesting it, so I figured I would post it in March!

This H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe it’s a GOOD ONE! I kept it under 30 pieces (many of which I’m sure you already own variations of) and also gave you 48 outfit ideas. I’m ready to pack away my sweaters and layers (well most of them at least) and this Spring Guide definitely reflects that! Lots of dresses, pretty sandals, straw bags and more and also all very wearable. In fact, I ordered a few of these items and I can’t wait to get them and wear them again and again! All of these items will also work perfectly in the Summer too!

Affordable H&M Spring Capsule Wardrobe Items:

1. Utility Dress ($54.99)

This feminine, airy dress is Spring perfection and exactly what your closet is missing. This is probably my favorite item in this capsule & will definitely end up in my closet. I love that it’s a floral print, but more of an abstract floral as opposed to a delicate print.

2. Viscose Shirt Dress ($28.99)

This green dress screams Spring. The long sleeves allow you to wear it when the weather is a little cooler, but the lightweight fabric will keep it in rotation for months! This is definitely a piece that can be dressed up with an on-trend platform heel or down with sneakers (both of which you’ll see in the outfit ideas portion of this post). I also love the leaf pattern, usually brands default to floral everything for Spring & this is a nice change!

3. Pleated Skirt ($45.99)

Who doesn’t love a romantic midi skirt and this pleated one with a slight sheen is on the top of my list! It’s work and play appropriate and looks way more expensive than it is.

4. Double Breasted Trench Coat ($49.99)

A trench coat is a must in my Spring wardrobe and if you don’t have one, this one is a great option.

5. Linen Blend Bomber Jacket ($44.99)

This bomber jacket is polished, yet playful, and a great addition to your wardrobe this Spring! The khaki green color is so perfect and it can be worn alone or paired with the matching wide leg linen pants!

I need a new white blouse every Spring to last me through the warm weather months and this one is light, airy and perfect for this year! It can be dressed up with a skirt or tailored pants or dressed down with jeans. And if white isn’t your thing this top also comes in black, blue and a fun pattern.

6. Button Detail Sweatshirt ($37.99)

I was raving about H&M sweatshirts a few weeks ago over on Instagram and honestly I can’t count how many I own. Like the t-shirts, they are the BEST! So soft, comfortable and affordable! This striped one with cute button detail is a great piece to wear with everything from skirts to shorts to jeans!

7. Wide Leg Pants ($34.99)

Relaxed fit, wide-cut pants have been on my radar for a while and I think they would be a great alternative to your basic tailored “dress pants” for Spring & Summer. These can be worn with a heel just as easily as they can be paired with a crop top and sandals!

8. Wide Cut Pull On Pants ($20.99)

These airy pants were one of the first items I pinned for this Spring Capsule Wardrobe because I loved how versatile they were! I love how they are paired with the matching linen bomber jacket on the website & love how many other ways they can be worn!

9. Wide High Jeans ($27.99)

It wouldn’t be a capsule wardrobe without a pair of jeans and H&M makes great ones! Wide leg jeans aren’t going anywhere so if you haven’t added a pair to your closet now is the time!

10. High Waist Joggers ($24.99)

No explanation needed! H&M sweats are superior in my opinion!

11. Double Layered Ribbed Tank Top ($17.99)

A neutral tank is a must in my warm weather wardrobe! H&M makes great basics and I’m definitely adding this beige one to my closet! I love the layered look of this one.

12. Rib Knit Boat Neck Top ($25.99)

While I despise the fact that it’s still sweater weather in NY I’m less upset about not being able to put my sweaters away when they’re as cute as this one! I’m a sucker for a boat neck neck and a fresh white top!

13. Printed T-Shirt ($19.99)

I was raving about H&M basics a few weeks ago over on Instagram and honestly I can’t count how many I own. The t-shirts are so soft, comfortable and affordable! This white one with “Palermo” print is so cute (& nostalgic of my trip to Sicily last year for me).

14. Ruffle Trimmed Creped Blouse ($25.99)

The print on this blouse is so pretty and so Spring! I love the pleated sleeves, the ruffle collar and the color.

15. Knit Sweater ($19.99)

While I would love to say sweater season is over, it’s definitely not yet. This soft, lightweight sweater is a great option while its still on the cooler side and for upcoming chilly nights! It comes in a pretty pastel pink & blue color.

16. Heeled Platform Espadrilles ($67.99)

I am OBSESSED these platforms! The color, the braiding, everything about these is perfect for warm weather!

17. Sneakers ($44.99)

Classic white sneakers – a staple in my closet and a staple in my capsule wardrobes! No explanation needed!

18. Ballet Flats ($19.99)

Ballet flats are making a comeback (even though I’ll never consider them a trendy item, they are a staple in my mind) and these perfect pink pair would work with every outfit in your closet.

19. Leather Slides ($31.99)

How chic are these slides? I honestly couldn’t believe they were H&M as they look WAY more expensive than they are and are a great addition to your closet.
